CFA Felicitation ceremony, Delhi

The Delhi chapter of IAIP organized a felicitation ceremony for candidates becoming CFA charterholders in 2013 and for those passing the CFA Level 3 exam in 2013. This event was graced by Paul Smith, CFA, Managing Director (Asia Pacific) at CFA Institute and Mr. Vidhu Shekhar, CFA, Consultant at CFA Institute.  The core team of IAIP Delhi chapter welcomed and congratulated all candidates from the North India region on their significant achievement of becoming a CFA charterholder and having passed all levels of the CFA exams. The event was well attended by both IAIP members and non-members.

The event began with a presentation on the various activities and achievements of IAIP, benefits of enrolling as IAIP members, and the various ways in which candidates and charterholders can volunteer and contribute actively to various ongoing initiatives and committees of IAIP. In their talks, Paul and Vidhu emphasized the importance of the CFA charter to the Investment community and every CFA charterholder’s lifelong commitment to Ethical and Professional standards, including always putting client interests first.

Paul felicitated every candidate with a framed Code of Ethics.  Further, Paul presented the CFA charter to all candidates who had qualified to receive the CFA charter in 2013. These were happy and proud moments for candidates and their family members.  A total of 35 candidates were felicitated, including 17 CFA charterholders , and 18 CFA Level3 passouts.

Candidates spoke about personal experiences, and how they overcame various challenges in their journey to becoming CFA charterholders. The felicitation was followed by a networking dinner where candidates interacted one on one with Paul, Vidhu and members of the IAIP Delhi chapter.
