The pandemic has roiled markets and economies and many companies have frozen hiring and/or started layoffs. These are challenging times for someone looking for a job or already employed. Youngsters especially are inexperienced and hence ill equipped to handle this crisis.
How should you search for a job? How can you leverage LinkedIn? What skills are more important at work? Which sectors still offer opportunities for CFA candidates?
It’s not all doom and gloom. There are some surprising rays of hope and you can still be the master of your destiny.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Binod Shankar, CFA after a 17year corporate career where he rose to be Executive Director at a listed bank, Binod quit to co-found a financial training company where he led a team that quickly built it into the region’s largest CFA prep company. Binod has taught 4,000 + CFA candidates across all levels and mentored dozens of candidates and members over the last 14 years, establishing a reputation as a top financial trainer and mentor. He now spends his time as a frequent market analyst on CNBC Arabia, a Board member of CFA Society Emirates, blogger, platform speaker and as the host of The Real Finance Mentor podcast (www.therealfinancementor.com) which focuses on insight and inspiration for finance careers. Binod Shankar is a Chartered Accountant and a CFA charter holder.
