Communication for Impact: Writing, Storytelling & Digital Content
Good communication is more than good writing. Learn how to shape ideas with clarity, purpose, and impact.
In investment management and financial services, having a strong idea is only part of the job. The ability to communicate that idea clearly, purposefully, and to the right audience is equally important. Whether it is an investment thesis, research insight, client communication, presentation, article, LinkedIn post or stakeholder message, finance professionals regularly need to translate complex information into communication that is clear, relevant and engaging.
CFA Society India, in association with Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC), presents a four-session professional workshop on writing, storytelling and digital content.
The programme goes beyond the mechanics of good writing. It focuses on understanding why you are communicating, who you are communicating with, what you want the audience to take away, and how the message should be shaped for the context and medium. Through faculty-led sessions and practical exercises, participants will develop tools and techniques to communicate with greater clarity, structure, and impact. The workshop covers communication goals, audience and context, storytelling, digital content, message development and social media writing. These areas are drawn from XIC’s proposed curriculum.
What will you learn?
The first three sessions will be conducted online. The final session will be conducted in person at the CFA Society India office, BKC, Mumbai.
Who is this programme for?
The programme is designed for CFA Society India members who want to strengthen their professional communication skills. It is relevant for professionals who regularly need to:
Learning Approach
The programme combines faculty-led learning with practical exercises, allowing participants to apply the concepts discussed during the sessions. XIC’s proposed pedagogy includes lectures, video-based learning, individual exercises, and group exercises.
This is a four-session programme, not a standalone webinar. Participants are expected to attend all four sessions, including the final in-person session in Mumbai.
Certificate
Participants who successfully complete all four sessions will receive a joint certificate from CFA Society India and Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC).
Attendance at all four sessions is mandatory for the certificate.
