Having straddled both the private and public market investing worlds successfully for the past 2 decades, our speaker, Harikrishnan S, Founder of Blue Lotus Capital, will discuss this spectrum and why he chose to be on the “concentrated portfolio” side and why it helped him deliver better returns to his investors globally.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Harikrishnan S, is the Founder and Managing Partner, Blue Lotus Capital. Hari has more than 21 years of equity investments’ experience in India across both private & public market investments. He has founded Blue Lotus Capital in 2015, after a long innings in Private Equity in India. Blue Lotus Capital is an independent global asset management company. One of active Foreign Institutional Investor (FPI) in midcap space across India and Emerging Markets. It has global presence in US, India, UAE and Singapore. Firm manages Long only offshore funds which focuses investing in mid cap listed companies in Emerging Markets. Hari has unique investment experience across PE/VC, mid-market buyout and listed equities. One of the few Indian managers with an excellent track record of investments and exits, he has been closely involved across the entire investing lifecycle on both the public and private sides over the last 2 decades. Hari started his career with Unit Trust of India (public equities) before moving to UTI Ventures (venture capital), followed by Lazard (large cap opportunistic investments) and Avigo Capital (mid-market active PE fund manager). Hari is an engineer from Anna University, Chennai and MBA from BIM Trichy.
MODERATOR:
Srivathsan Ramachandran, CFA, is a sell-side analyst with over a decade of experience, and he has held the CFA designation since 2009. Sri has worked at Spark Capital Advisors since 2006 where he has lead research efforts across sectors. Mr. Ramachandran has experience in the Indian / Global Technology sector including internet and Exchanges. He has authored over 50 initiation and thematic research notes across sectors such as technology, Tech distribution, Internet and exchanges. Mr. Ramachandran has been a CFA Institute grader since 2015, a member of the Practice Analysis working body and a mentor for the research challenge since its inception in India.
