Welcome to this special event where we celebrate the role, contribution and progress of women in the finance industry.
We will start with a keynote address from Lieutenant Colonel Tripti Arya. Colonel Tripti will give us the Armed Forces’ perspective on leadership, and how it can be adapted to the corporate world. This session will give us leadership lessons from the battlefield to apply in the boardroom.
The keynote will be followed by a discussion on how to build a more inclusive workplace culture – and create an environment where everyone regardless of gender, considers each other an ally. This session will feature prominent industry professionals, namely Alok Sheopurkar, Head – HR & CSR at HDFC AMC; Meghana Pandit, CIO at IndiGrid; Anjali Forbes, Senior Partner at TRANSEARCH India; and Alokita Jha, CFA, Head of Client Propositions Support at Fidelity International.
There is also a session on the Femtor program where participants will share their experiences and learnings. We will round off the proceedings with networking and dinner.

Alok Sheopurkar
Alok Sheopurkar is the Head-HR & CSR at HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd. He has been associated with organizations like Tata Iron and Steel Company, Grasim, Crompton Greaves, Mondelez (formerly Cadbury's) and AIG.
Alok presently serves as Chairman-Apex Advisory Committee & Member-Governing council of SNDT University-Mumbai; Member-Board of governance, Symbiosis -Pune; Member-National Skill Development Corporation. Alok has also served in different capacities with organizations like NHRD Network; Financial Planning Standards Board of India (FPSB), St. Xavier’s-Mumbai, and IIT Roorkee-DOMS. Alok is also part of Thane Badminton Association where he works with young players.
Alok is also a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from International Coach Federation (ICF). Alok is recipient of many awards like Rashtriya Sanman Award, IES award for creative HR strategies, W.E. global employee’s choice for best CHRO and ICFAE’s Global Thought Leadership Award, to name a few.
Alok has interest in coaching, storytelling, financial planning, startup building, career conversations and corporate social responsibility. On a personal note, he is fond of nature, wild life, farming, and canines.

Alokita Jha, CFA \n Head, Client Propositions Support, Fidelity International
Alokita is a dynamic leader with more than two decades of cross-functional expertise in Investment Communications, Investment Research, Technology, Strategy and Administration as well as Country Management. Currently heading the Client Propositions Support team at Fidelity International, producing a wide variety of global client content for products across asset classes for client servicing, retention and growth. Alokita has been recognized for industry impact and mentoring contributions with the 2022 HerRising Women in Finance Award and accolades from the CFA Society India.
Alokita worked in Equity Research space at the start of her career and started her journey at Fidelity International in the Investment Fund Analyst space, and then moved on to become the Head of Tech Risk and Management Oversight function and Business Manager for Technology & Digital. Gradually, she expanded her remit to India and became the Chief Administrative Officer for India capability. In 2020, Alokita moved to lead the Client Propositions Support team in the Investment & Solutions space. She is the Executive Director on the India Board and a member of the Country Leadership team at Fidelity International. Alokita is passionate about driving the right culture and enabling and developing the talent and she is working closely on embedding Technology and in particular AI in the investment and client space.

Anjali Forbes
Anjali is Senior Partner with TRANSEARCH India and is based in Mumbai. She leads the firm's Banking & Financial Services Practice in India.
Anjali has a multi-functional background having worked for over 35 years across diverse functions with leading organizations. Anjali was a senior banker with ANZ Grindlays Bank in her initial career spanning branch banking, corporate banking, private banking and regional strategy, in India and overseas. In her next career stint, with CRISIL (company of Standard and Poor’s), Anjali worked for over 16 years in business leadership roles in credit rating, investment research, capital markets, mutual funds & corporate advisory, and strategic branding. During this time, she led CRISIL’s first acquisition, in investment research, and positioned CRISIL as the leading provider of research and innovative tools and benchmarks for India’s banking & capital markets. Anjali served on the Index Committees of NSE and on AMFI’s Valuation and Benchmarks Committees and spearheaded the setting up of CRISIL’s index services’ joint venture with NSE, with S&P as the brand partner.
Anjali set up TRANSEARCH’s Mumbai office in 2006 and has since built a credible financial services practice for the firm, with deep client relationships across India’s Banking, Capital Markets and the broader financial services sector. She has been recognized by the firm globally for excellence in delivering Client satisfaction. She helps clients build their Boards, leadership teams and assists them in in articulating their culture to deliver on the business strategy, and in succession planning.
Anjali completed her bachelor’s in commerce from Mumbai University and has a master’s in business administration from the University of Rhode Island, USA.

Arati Porwal
Arati Porwal, Country Head of India, at CFA Institute is responsible for delivering value to CFA Institute stakeholders and constituents by building and maintaining deep relationships with financial institutions, CFA societies, and universities. She is also leading development of candidate and membership strategy in addition to supporting prep providers. She is also playing a crucial role in driving an India strategy, as the country is one of the top markets for the institute globally.
Arati has served as the interim Head of the India market since the beginning of 2022. She joined CFA Institute in 2017 and led the Society Relations function for India and surrounding markets. In her time with the organization, Arati has made significant contributions towards strengthening the investment profession industry, while also demonstrating the immense value that the CFA qualification adds to an individual’s career.
Before joining CFA Institute, Arati was the Senior Market Advisor at Enterprise Ireland, providing advisory services to Irish enterprises on market entry into India. Arati also led the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)’s operations in India for five years.
Arati worked in various roles in the financial services and insurance industry for thirteen years before joining CIMA.
Arati has a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the Mumbai University and an MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. Arati is also a certified life and leadership coach.

Lieutenant Colonel Tripti Arya
Lieutenant Colonel Tripti Arya is an esteemed officer from the Indian Army’s Army Service Corps, with a distinguished career that exemplifies courage, leadership, and sacrifice throughout her 14 years of service to the nation. With over a decade of experience in the logistics field, known for the specialized frontline delivery of supplies and services, Lt Col Tripti is a key officer within the Service Corps community. She is renowned for her ability to lead elite technical teams in some of the most challenging and high-risk environments.
Her career has been marked by a series of successful missions that have significantly contributed to the nation’s security, showcasing her exceptional skills in logistics, aerial deliveries, casualty evacuations, and counter-insurgency operations. Born into a family with a strong military tradition, her father was an officer in the Indian Army, and her brother and sister also served, with the latter retiring from the Indian Air Force just a year ago.
Lt Col Tripti is an alumnus of the Officers Training Academy, Chennai.** As a seasoned and dynamic officer, she is an expert in a wide array of skills such as advanced shooting, close-quarter combat, high-altitude warfare, and aerial operations. She has served on the Line of Control in Kashmir and at the Indo-China Border in the North East as part of her service career.
In addition to her military expertise, Lt Col Tripti has demonstrated academic excellence in the field of **Supply Chain Management**. She is an alumna of **IIM Indore and IIM Mumbai**, where she specialized in Supply Chain and Operations Management. Her academic prowess has equipped her with cutting-edge knowledge and strategies, enhancing her effectiveness in managing complex logistical operations in the military. Her contributions have not only improved operational efficiency but have also set benchmarks for excellence within the Indian Army’s logistics framework.
She is also a qualified professional counseling psychologist, using her skills to support the mental well-being of soldiers and their families. Her empathetic approach and professional training have made her a trusted confidant and counselor, providing guidance and support in challenging times.
Beyond her professional and academic accomplishments, Lt Col Tripti is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment and leadership within the armed forces. She actively mentors young officers and participates in initiatives aimed at fostering gender equality in the military.

Meghana Pandit
Ms. Meghana Pandit is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at IndiGrid since 2018. She holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and a master’s degree in management studies from the University of Mumbai, has cleared all three levels of CFA, CFA Institute (US) and a post graduate diploma in financial analysis from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India.
She has over 20 years of experience in investment banking and corporate finance, covering the infrastructure sector across private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, qualified institutional placements and infrastructure investment trusts, in sub-sectors such as roads, airports, renewable power, thermal power, ports and real estate. She has previously worked with IDFC Bank, Deloitte Financial Advisory Services India Private Limited and Essar Steel Limited.
At IndiGrid, she is responsible for M&A, debt and equity fund raising, treasury management, investor relations and other growth initiatives.

Navin Vohra, CFA
Navin is a Partner and National Leader for Valuations, Modelling and Economics at Ernst & Young India, heading one of the largest valuation practices in the country with a team of over 100 professionals. His expertise is in complex private company valuations for litigations, dispute settlements, transactions, M&A and regulations. Navin and his team have authored many Thought Leadership Reports on technical aspects of valuation, including on Transaction Valuations in India, Accounting for business combinations, Valuations for Early Stage Companies, Control Premium in India. Navin has spent over two decades with EY, prior to which he worked as an equity analyst with DBS Securities. Navin is a PGDM from IIM Bangalore, a Cost Accountant and a CFA Charter holder.

Anil Ghelani, CFA
Mr. Ghelani has been working for the DSP Group since 2003. The DSP Group has a legacy of more than 150 years, making it one of the oldest and most respected financial services firms in India. He is currently head of passive investments and products. Previously, he served as the business head and chief investment officer at DSP BlackRock Pension Fund Managers. Earlier in his career at DSP, he led the risk and quantitative analysis team, providing quantitative research inputs and buy-side credit research on companies across various sectors.
Mr. Ghelani has also worked at IL&FS Mutual Fund and at S. R. Batliboi, a member firm of EY. He has been a volunteer with the CFA Society India for more than a decade. Mr. Ghelani is a CFA charterholder, Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

Shreenivas Kunte, CFA
Shreenivas works as Senior Lead, Content and Automation, at HDFC AMC. In this role, Shreenivas leads HDFC AMC’s work in the application of AI/ Automation in investment decision making. Shreenivas has over 25 years of experience in various investment roles in India, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. Before joining HDFC AMC, Shreenivas served as the Director of Content at CFA Institute and worked as the Trading Strategist at Citi in the Japanese and Indian markets. He also speaks the Japanese language. As a CFA Society India volunteer, Shreenivas has worked closely with members and regulators, conducting workshops on machine learning applications using Python. He has led research initiatives and authored articles on a wide range of investing topics. Shreenivas is passionate about spreading financial awareness and emphasizing the urgency of environmental conservation. He is also a long-distance marathoner and an avid fitness enthusiast. Shreenivas was awarded the CFA Charter in 2003. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from IIT Bombay and a Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) from the CFA Institute.
