Ethics, Governance and Sustainability Conference 2026
Date – Wednesday, 25th March 2026
Venue – Golconda Ballroom, Trident BKC Mumbai, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai 400098
Ethics, strong governance, and sustainability lie at the heart of investor trust, resilient capital markets, and inclusive economic growth. Over the past several decades, India has successfully built robust legal, regulatory, and market institutions that have enabled companies to raise capital and investors to participate in the growth story with greater confidence. Yet, frequent headlines and regulatory orders remind us that the journey is far from complete.
Conceived and led by CFA Society India, the inaugural edition of the Ethics, Governance & Sustainability Conference 2026 is a dedicated platform to reflect on this responsibility and chart a way forward for the Indian investment profession. This annual conference is anchored in the mission of CFA Institute and CFA Society India to lead the investment profession by setting the highest standards of ethics, education, and professional excellence for the ultimate benefit of society.
The conference aims to bring together senior leaders from asset management firms, corporates, boards, regulators, and advisory organizations to engage in a candid, practitioner-focused dialogue. The common thread running through the conference is the idea of responsibility: as professionals who benefit from well-functioning markets and strong institutions, how can we actively contribute to stable, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth in India?
Through a mix of practitioner workshops, keynote addresses, and panel discussions, the conference will explore:
- How investment firms can strengthen ethical culture and decision-making, drawing on lessons from India and global markets.
- The evolving status of stewardship in India and the role of investors in improving corporate governance.
- How investment organizations can enhance their own governance, risk, and management practices.
- The role of institutional investors in advancing sustainability and responsible investment, and how the broader investment community can be more effective change agents.
Participants will hear from marquee industry speakers, including CIOs, board members, and senior investment leaders, who will share real-world perspectives and emerging best practices. The conference also showcases the ongoing work of CFA Institute, CFA Society India, and its partner institutions across research, advocacy, and investor education on these topics. By convening the ecosystem around ethics, governance, and sustainability, this conference seeks to move the conversation from compliance to commitment and from isolated initiatives to collective action.
