Session Overview:
The significant dispersion in equity market performance has led to an increased interest in Global investing by Indian households. Both HNIs and retail investors have been increasing allocations to global equities – from US on the West to Greater China/ Japan in the East.
The closure of the regulatory limit to invest overseas for Mutual Funds has further made this interesting with many investors looking at alternate avenues to invest in global markets. While platforms existed outside India to invest, it has been made interesting with emergence of options in GIFT City.
The Chennai chapter of CFA Society India’s conference on Global Investing deep dives into the rationale for global investing, the opportunity and risks and the options available to the investors. It proposes to bring together – managers, platforms, advisors and investors for engaging discussions of different format.
