Crypto assets started emerging from the shadows of the 2008 financial crisis. Despite their roller-coaster ride, crypto assets have managed to stay relevant. They do not have a mass acceptance but many investors, investment managers, regulators and other financial intermediaries have come in support of crypto assets. This webinar will provide a ringside review on the contours of the crypto asset world and the blockchain technology that underpins these assets.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:
Marcos is the Managing Director with Evanston Capital Management, an investment management firm in Chicago. Previously, he was a managing director at Cambridge Associates where he also led the firm’s research effort in the crypto/blockchain space and released the paper “Crypto assets: Venture into the Unknown” which mapped out the crypto/blockchain investment landscape. Mr. Veremis holds a BA from Oxford University and an MA and MBA from Columbia University.

Sandeep Gupta, CIPM, CFA is the Head of MB Invest at Magic Bricks, a leading Real Estate portal in India. MB Invest is facilitating the investment in Real Estate on a fractional basis. He had earlier founded a block-chain tech startup, which was attempting to facilitate fractional Real Estate investments through ‘Smart Contracts’ and blockchain ‘Tokenization’. Sandeep has diverse experience across Real Estate functions including investments, divestments, business development, sales & marketing, operations and strategy. Other employers in his corporate career spanning over two decades include Bombay Burmah, New Chennai Township, Cinépolis & GMR.
Sandeep holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Delhi University and is a postgraduate in management from IIM-Ahmedabad.
