Rupal Bhansali is the CEO, CIO, and Portfolio Manager of international and global equity portfolios, with over 35 years of experience. A rare woman of color to break the glass ceiling on Wall Street, she is the author of Non-Consensus Investing, highlighting her unconventional approach. She also serves on several non-profit boards and the Investment Committee of the World War II Museum. Before founding Double Duty, she spent 25+ years in intrapreneurial roles at Ariel Investments (12 years), MacKay Shields (10 years), and Oppenheimer Capital (5 years), building and growing international and global equity platforms, and began her buy-side career at Soros Fund Management. From 2020–2023, she was featured on Barron’s “100 Most Influential Women in US Finance” list. She received the Global Equities’ Leader of the Year Award (2022) and the North American Industry Leadership Award from 100 Women in Finance (2019), served on Barron’s Investment Roundtable (2019–2023), and was described by CNBC in 2021 as a “legendary contrarian.” She earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Commerce from the University of Mumbai, an MBA from the University of Rochester as a Rotary Foundation Scholar, and holds the FSA credential from the IFRS Foundation. She supports women’s empowerment, financial literacy, and World War II education.
