Johannes Müller
Global Head of Research & Chief Economist of the Group DWS Group
Johannes Müller, CFA, is Global Head of Research and Chief Economist of the DWS Group. Since 2023, Johannes was appointed Global Head of Research and in 2024, additionally assumed the role of Chief Economist of the DWS Group. He joined the company in July 1994 and began his career in money market fund management. In 1995, he became a bond trader, and in 1997 he was appointed fund manager for German and European bond funds. In 2003, he became Head of the Asset Class Management Team Euro Liquids. From 2009, he served as Chief Economist Fixed Income. In 2013, he additionally assumed the roles of Chief Investment Officer, Wealth Management Germany, and Chief Investment Officer, Multi Asset Germany. Further senior positions followed, including Head of CIO Office Markets from 2016 and Head of Macro Research & CIO Office from 2018. Johannes Müller is a CFA Charterholder and CEFA Investment Analyst (DVFA). He holds a master’s degree in social and economic sciences from the University of Innsbruck. Joahnnes is married with three children.
