Amit Bivalkar
Amit Bivalkar, an MBA graduate in Finance from a renowned university in Pune and a National Merit Scholar in Economics during his Commerce graduation, brings over 25 years of extensive experience in the financial services industry. He began his professional journey with DPS ML, and later held key leadership roles at Fidelity and AIG, gaining deep expertise in asset
management and client relations.In 2009, Amit founded Sapient Finserv, driven by a vision to
provide expert, client-centric financial guidance. His leadership has been pivotal in establishing Sapient Finserv as a trusted name in wealth management. Under his guidance, Sapient Finserv
received the prestigious ‘Distributor of the Year’ award from Moneycontrol, reflecting the firm's commitment to excellence.Currently, Amit leads a team that manages over ₹9350 crores in
Assets Under Management (AUM) and a SIP book exceeding ₹43 crores, serving more than 13,000 families—ranging from retail investors to large family offices. His strategic insight, industry expertise, and client-first approach continue to drive Sapient Finserv’s mission of delivering comprehensive and personalized financial solutions.

Biharilal Deora, CFA, CIPM
Biharilal works with Abakkus LLP as a Director. Prior to joining Abakkus, he was managing corporate, family office and university clients, bringing in investment expertise that spans all asset classes. He is also a subject matter expert across a range of tax, accounting, pension, risk management, and capital market policies. Mr. Deora is a regular visiting faculty member for advanced finance programs and is currently pursuing a PhD with Symbiosis University. He began his career as a financial analyst – at Credit Suisse and Fidelity Investments, among others – where he gained knowledge across a range of sectors, including oil and gas, and commodities in the US, Europe and Asia. He holds a Masters degree in Commerce from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, in addition to being a rank holder Chartered Accountant, Certified financial planner, CFA charterholder and other certificates.

Neil Borate
Neil Borate heads the personal finance team at Thefynprint, a financial content platform. He is a graduate in law and economics. Neil started writing about personal finance in 2016 at Value Research, a mutual fund research portal. After a stint at a fintech, Neil joined Mint in 2019 as a mutual fund reporter. He was made Deputy Editor in 2022 and Editor (Personal Finance) in 2024. He has also co-authored the book - The Big Bull of Dalal Street on Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, one of India's most successful investors.
