I am a Manager in the Compliance function of Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory, with a total work experience of 9 years. I oversee regulatory compliance matters of my clients in the investment profession, perform due diligence (including internal audits and compliance testing) and ensure that investment firms adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards of practice. I also supervise the design and implementation of software solutions for people, processes, and technology that directly drive investment decisions. I started my CFA journey in 2019, passed Level I with above 90 percentile score in my first attempt and quickly enrolled for Level II. However, the Covid-19 pandemic led to multiple exam cancellations, causing a 2-year delay in my Level II. I had to put a lot of my life plans on hold while patiently waiting for my opportunity to continue my CFA journey. Finally, I was able to take my Level II exam in 2021 and Level III exam in 2023 and cleared both in first attempts. It has been a long and difficult road to receiving my Charter but it was absolutely worth it because of how it has shaped my career and solidified my understanding of investment management.
