Purav A Jhaveri, CFA, FRM
Purav has over thirty years Investment experience and has built and managed successful Investment businesses globally. He most recently led the formation of Bajaj Finserv AMC and Bajaj Finserv Ventures. He led/had oversight of the Investment teams at Bajaj Holdings, as well as Bajaj Finserv’s Insurance and asset management Investment teams. In that role, he oversaw investments in Venture Capital and Private Equity Funds, direct equities, and the full range of fixed Income. Prior to that, he was responsible for overseeing the Investment functions of Franklin Templeton’s locally based Investment teams in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, the Middle East, Europe, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, South Korea, the UK and Vietnam. He was based in the U.S. and traveled extensively to be on the ground in these countries, as a member of the Investment Committees and for meeting clients. He was a founding member of Templeton’s private equity team in 2000. He helped shape Investment philosophy and played a key role in developing synergies between Investment teams globally. He has strong global experience which contributes to a better understanding of the interconnection between global events and markets, ensuring good portfolio performance. He has extensive experience in client management, and is a presenter of Investment Outlook to clients and media, and at the Harvard Business School, Investment conferences and on CNBC and Bloomberg. He has an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Management from NMIMS. He is a Member of the CII National Committee on Financial Markets, CII Working Committee on Deepening of Bond Markets, and the CII Working Committee on Regulatory Reforms and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Professional Risk Manager (PRMIA) designations.
