Dear Members,
This edition of the newsletter is particularly special, as I am pleased to give update on our Diversity Initiative at CFA Society India. Established in 2022, “FEMTOR – The Mentorship Club” is a volunteer-led program created to support our women members in building the skills and connections they need to progress through various stages of their careers and realize their full potential.
The club aims to foster a strong community where members can:
- Engage in practical discussions on both professional and personal matters.
- Network with industry leaders, creating a snowball effect to expand their sphere of influence.
- Develop strategies that empower women to not only remain in the profession but to thrive.
- Promote the concept of “Career-Self Reliance.”
Open to all women members of CFA Society India, FEMTOR is structured to pair mentors and mentees who work together towards specific career objectives. Through this initiative, we strive to cultivate meaningful relationships between senior charterholders and early-to-mid-career women charterholders, where mentors provide invaluable, unbiased career guidance to support the advancement of the younger generation.
Since its inception, FEMTOR has successfully completed two seasons, and we are excited to announce the launch of our third season with eight enthusiastic mentor-mentee pairs.
Additionally, we proudly celebrate International Women’s Day through our annual diversity event, aimed at facilitating networking and encouraging an appreciation of the synergies that diversity brings to organizations. This event includes targeted workshops to help mentees clarify their career goals, as well as structured training for mentors to enhance their impact.
We invite our community of charterholders to support FEMTOR through active participation and sponsorship, fostering growth and diversity within CFA Society India.
It was also another busy quarter as we hosted 21 events across the country. Several of them focused on investment strategies, including- Automated Investing, Strategic Asset Allocation and Active Management, Integrating ESG Analysis, Gold as a Strategic Asset, Factor Investing Strategies and Valuation workshop. There were many more events like a networking event in Bengaluru and a financial literature discussion in Chennai. These events covered a wide range of topics relevant to investment management professionals, including business development, career opportunities, and industry trends.
With these significant achievements, we look forward to more exciting opportunities that await us on our path to shared success.
